Basically the story involves Nazis who’ve been killed by the French resistance, after which their corpses were thrown into a lake. Hence the title. Years later the Nazis return in zombified form to terrorize the little village near the lake.In the first minute of the movie, you know what you’re getting into: gratuitous full frontal female nudity. Almost all female actors are going for it, most memorably a busload full of volleyball players, who for some reason decide to throw the ball around a little near the lake and then all undress for a swim, which is really appreciated by the Nazi zombies lurking underneath the water (and us, the audience, of course). The effects and make up can only be described as virtually non-existent. The zombies are randomly painted in a greenish color which mostly washes off immediately in the water scenes, of which, given the whole ‘lake’ thing, there are quite a few.  The explosions are fabricated using cheap firecrackers it seems. Decomposition is nowhere to be seen and the Nazi uniforms remain in perfect shape, even though they do get a bit wet.I especially liked the flashback scene of the German soldiers being under air attack, in which one German is laying in what looks like a pool of fire and then just gets up as if nothing has happened.Furthermore, when the corpse of a female zombie victim is discovered, she gets carried around the village by three men after which they dump her on her father’s doorstep. He opens the door, adjusts her dress for a bit and that’s that.I had a really good time watching this movie because it is quite hilarious, so I recommend you do the same.Sincerely,Lucio
